Why cafés choose us
In 2025 tencha prices roughly doubled and the biggest names started turning Australian cafés away. Here's what actually matters when you're choosing who supplies your menu.
Supply that doesn't break
Five independent producers across three regions with different harvest windows. When one falls short, another holds.
Milled fresh, not warehoused
Each batch is milled to order in Japan, so what ships is fresh tea, not aged stock waiting on a shelf.
No brokers, better margin
We live in Shizuoka and buy direct from the producers. Fewer hands on the tea means a materially better margin for you.
Taste before you commit
The full cost of your sample kit is credited toward your first order, so there's no downside to testing on your own bar first.
Minimums that scale with you
3kg per grade, not a lump order across your whole menu. Mix producers and grades however your menu actually needs them.
Eleven years, Australia-wide
Delivered to every major Australian city and region, plus worldwide on request, backed by 7,600+ public reviews since 2015.
Each producer carries its own certifications and its own minimum, applied per grade you order. All prices below are AUD per kg, landed to Australia. Full tasting notes and per-latte costings for every grade are in the catalogue, emailed with your sample kit.

Also available: sencha and gyokuro, both of which other suppliers paused in 2026 to protect matcha stock. Full cultivar, harvest and tasting detail for every grade is in the catalogue, emailed with your sample kit.
Usucha: thin tea, matcha's everyday preparation, whisked briskly with more water for a lighter, frothier cup. Koicha: thick tea, roughly double the powder, kneaded with less water into a dense, glossy paste, reserved for the cleanest, highest-umami lots since there's no dilution to mask any bitterness.
Private label
Already selling matcha under someone else's brand? Your branding on 30g/40g tins or 50g–1kg bags. If you're already retailing a packaged matcha brand at the counter, the same product can carry your name instead, at wholesale pricing with the retail margin to keep. You supply the completed packaging designs; printing and packaging costs and lead time are confirmed once all the details are finalised. Contact us for MOQ for private label, as this differs from our standard grade MOQs.
How it works
Most wholesale relationships start with paperwork. Ours starts with matcha.
Choose your samples
Mix and match across any producers and grades. Not sure where to start? Tell us what you'd use it for and we'll recommend the grades that fit your menu.
Taste it on your own bar
10g of each grade, or 5 drinks, so you can dial it in properly on your machine, your milk, your recipe.
Order when you're ready
3 kg of each grade you choose, sourced to the same spec every time after. The full cost of your sample kit comes off the first invoice.
Frequently asked questions
Do you supply wholesale matcha in Australia?
Yes. We supply wholesale matcha, hojicha and genmaicha to cafés, restaurants and retailers across Australia, sourced direct from five independent producers in Shizuoka, Kagoshima and Kyoto, Japan.
Who can order wholesale from you?
Cafés, restaurants, retailers, hospitality groups and businesses reselling matcha. There's no minimum business size or existing order history required.
What do the sample kits cost?
Three tiers: A$15 for 3 samples, A$50 for 8, or A$100 for all 25 across every producer. The full cost of whichever tier you choose is credited toward your first wholesale order.
How fast do samples arrive?
Samples are shipped directly from Japan within 2 business days of payment. Bulk orders are milled fresh to order in Japan, which is why those take longer.
What's the minimum order?
3 kg of each grade you order, or 5 kg for Shizuoka II. The minimum applies to each individual grade, not to your order as a whole.
Why payment on order?
Each batch is milled to order, so tea ships fresh rather than from aged warehouse stock. Payment confirms the batch and milling begins.
How do I choose the right grade?
Tell us the application and we'll recommend. Ceremonial grades suit straight tea and premium bowls; latte and culinary grades hold colour and flavour against milk or in baking.
Can I mix grades in one order?
Yes, as many grades and producers as you like. Just note the minimum is per grade, not split between them.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
We ship Australia-wide, plus worldwide on request. Lead time and freight are quoted with your order based on destination and volume.
What about food safety and certification?
Certification varies by producer: HACCP, FDA, ISO 22000, JAS Organic, Halal and JFS-B, shown on the certification chips above for each one.
Do you do private label?
Yes. Your branding on 30g/40g tins or 50g–1kg bags. You supply the completed packaging designs; costs and lead time are confirmed once details are finalised.
Ready when you are
